Astral Challenges

I am trying to visualise this recently discovered star that is over 300 times the size of the sun and 300,000 times brighter than it. Astronomists say it will not burn for long, apparently that means in 3 million years it could burn out. It is hard to see this as an immediate threat to life on the third rock from the sun especially as we have only just discovered its existence!

This is almost beyond human comprehension. I find it difficult to comprehend the size of the national debt at nearly £1 trillion but this is way beyond even that.

It certainly puts things in perspective like Rick's row of beans in Casablanca.
